Name: Stjepan P.
Mother tongue: Croatian
Occupation: Host
My object: coffee grinder
My story about it:
An especially dear memory of childhood, often used in our home. Usually it was my father who was in charge of grinding, sitting by the fire and grinding coffee. In the early 60s, my mother moved from Bosnia to Osijek and she probably inherited this grinder from her family. The most interesting fact is that nobody had drunk coffee in our neighbourhood until then (only chicory) and then the custom of drinking Turkish coffee slowly spread to almost entire neighbourhood.
