Mother tongue: German
Occupation: Museologist
My object: Scarf
My story about it:

This Russian scarf was given to me by my mother-in-law a long time ago. She received it as a gift herself, from a neighbor who had also received it as a gift in the 70s. I use it as a scarf, headscarf, skirt, and I like it very much. My mother-in-law lives in Sarajevo/ Bosnia. While Sarajevo was under siege, the scarf was folded up in the wardrobe. This period left its marks on the scarf: it has three smaller holes and a bigger one which I do not dare to mend. I lost the scarf several times or left it behind somewhere. But so far, I have always managed to retrieve it. Every time, it returns to me.
