My object: 2 Euro-Coin from Italy
My story about it:
Italy is one of my first great European discoveries (France is, too). A discovery I made independently. Therefore, I was really happy about this 2 Euro-coin from Italy displaying a Botticelli drawing. It shows Dante’s beautiful head which represent a reminiscence of Italy’s “unfamiliarity” so well-known to me, and of its compelling beauty. Dante also stands for a common European literary history and Europe’s common cultural heritage. I am happy to see this wealth reflected in the coins of the European Union!
