Name: Banu C.Ö.
Mother tongue: Turkish
Occupation: Architect, Sociologist
My object: candy bowl for welcoming guests
My story about it:

I inherited this bowl from my grandma. As far as I can remember, this bowl was always on the table, filled with candies. My grandma got it as a dowry for her wedding. For me, this bowl represents hospitality, acceptance and that we should not always fight over small stuff.
Since my grandma died and since I’ve been living in Germany, this bowl has been a symbol of my roots, and also a reminder that life is too short to get angry over many things.
